Meet The Team

evan

 Evan Rudowski, CEO and Co-Founder

Evan grew up in Queens, New York. He created his first magazine at age seven and sold it from his bicycle to kindly neighbors. He's been creating publications ever since, and when content started moving online, he moved with it -- starting in the 1980s when he helped take a major New York newspaper online for the first time.

Evan took his early inspiration from piles of old Superman comic books which he then carefully placed in protective bags and which his children are not yet allowed to touch. Evan has seen the Grateful Dead more than 60 times, and is not surprised by all the books that now proclaim them to be marketing and business visionaries.

Evan is an active member of the Entrepreneurs' Organization and believes in creating and supporting entrepreneurs everywhere. He is also a graduate of New York University's famed Interactive Telecommunications Program where, among other things, he once recreated Ronald Reagan's press secretary in virtual form.

Evan now lives in Bath, England, which still surprises him.

miles
Miles Galliford, Co-Founder and Director

Miles came to the entrepreneurial start-up world from BT, where for three years he worked in the Internet mergers, acquisition and joint ventures team, responsible for identifying and completing deals with US new media companies such as Excite; Inktomi; News International; Commerce One and Netcentives.

Before founding SubHub Miles was a director of two Internet start-ups which continue to prosper today, one in the content aggregation business for the insurance and auction sectors (www.invaluable.com) and the other a spin-off from Cambridge University providing intelligent search solutions (www.transversal.com).

Miles has a degree in Business Studies and an MBA from the European School of Management in Paris.

mark

 Mark Ramskill, Head of Marketing

Actively involved with 'all things web' for the past 17 years, Mark is one of those annoying people that can remember when Netscape Gold was the cool browser of choice and who built all of his early websites using frames (halcyon days!) .

Mark heads up our marketing activity, which he describes as a "hugely enjoyable, hair raising (ironically) and challenging role".

Mark lives five minutes walk away from SubHub HQ,  in Cardiff Bay, and yet is always last in the office in the morning. He loves old school US hip hop and has an irrational fear of cotton wool.

 chyrelle

Chyrelle Rayman-Bacchus, Head of Customer Experience

Chyrelle has been with SubHub from the very first day we opened in Cardiff, over five years ago now.

Chyrelle flies the flag for great customer experience and is a passionate supporter of usability, community and erm . . . shoes.

Chyrelle lives with her fiancee in Cardiff, with "no children and no pets!"

She is also the co-founder of CardiffGirlGeekDinners, a unique group of Welsh females, set up to encourage the growth of women working in technology.

 lou

 Louise Hewlett, Customer Service Associate

Louise is the newest addition to the SubHub team and is responsible for all things support related, working closely alongside Chyrelle.

With a long and successful background in customer support, she recently joined us from another start up Internet company, bringing with her bags full of passion and enthusiasm for all things web based.

Lou (as we like to call her) lives in Cardiff with her partner Chris and dog Winnie. According to Chris she spends her evenings and weekends glued to her laptop. One of the few things Louise actually agrees with him about!

 dan

Dan Bridge, Head of Product Development

Dan was born in Cardiff and set up his first business at the age of 11, charging people to play video games in his garage at the weekends (something he'll return to one day). His second business was more profitable, however short-lived, as running a casino during break-times at college was sadly frowned upon. He now devotes his time to more legitimate pursuits, mainly developing products that are useful and simple to use.

Since then, Dan's worked in Cambridge, London, San Francisco and exotic West Wales, building and running development teams. He has a wide range of product development experience that includes most platforms and languages with C, Java, PHP, Javascript and Atari Basic being his among favourites.

Dan lives in Cardiff with his wife and two children, who say he is 'quite grumpy' and 'stinky'. One of those is a lie. When not thinking about development he designs video games with his children.

 jamie

 Jamie Wiseman, Software Developer

Jamie came to SubHub in early 2009, bringing a wealth of development experience with him.

14 years in both web based and traditional development has led to a belief that nothing is impossible, if it can be imagined - in the world of web development, at least.

Living in South Wales with his wife and son, his interests are the great outdoors, guitars (playing and listening to them) and languages (PHP, Javascript, English, German, Old English, Welsh...)

 ru

 Rupert Jabelman, Software Developer

Ru likes making things. Quite often, these things are made of code and live on your screen, but he's just as likely to be doing something inadvisable to his car or taking things apart and putting them back together in unlikely configurations. One day he may even finish his web-controllable Bigtrak that's lurking in the SubHub office.

Ru also likes taking photos of things, mountain biking, coffee and music you probably don't. He's currently biding his time waiting for SubHub to get an office somewhere with a better climate, but until then he lives near Cardiff with his girlfriend and a greyhound.

 alex

 Alex Farr, Software Developer

Alex grew up in Cardiff, Wales. Before joining SubHub in August 2010 he specialised in Educational Technologies, working for both Portsmouth and Cardiff Universities. Alex loves anything to do with usability and user interaction (don't we all!) and knows lots of different programming languages.

When he is not working he can be found on the water, doing anything from kite surfing to sailing, where he regularly competes at national and international levels
