Running a subscription website requires a lot of time in front of the keyboard. It is important that you concentrate on your posture, wrists and hands to prevent repetitive strain injury.
Here are a few tips to keep your wrists fit and healthy:
- When typing, keep your wrists straight and in line with your forearms
- Ensure that your forearms are parallel with the floor
- Keep your palms facing down
- Use a keyboard pad for wrist support. Make sure you don't have clutter in front of your keyboard creating an uneven surface
- Relax your hands when you pause; wriggle and stretch your fingers
- Squeeze a stress ball
- Take short breaks often
If you follow this advice, your wrists and arms should remain in good shape.
