Google Street View For Online Publishers

I recently went to Trulia.com, the real estate search site and noticed that they have integrated Google Street View so you can now actually see the house that you have found...and scroll round to see 360 degree view of the neighborhood...and take a walk down the street. Its a great enhancement to the site ...and its completely free.

For those of you who have not come across Street View take a look at this introductory video.

Now have a think about how it can be used to enhance the content on your website.

  • when you mention a place you have been to insert a picture
  • when mentioning another person show a picture of where they live (probably not their actual home!)
  • when giving directions to a venue a Street View could help
  • when talking about events in a certain place bring them alive
  • etc.
