FIPP - Organization
When FIPP — the worldwide magazine media association, with more than 700 member companies in more than 60 countries — needed a new web-based membership solution, they turned to SubHub.
FIPP offers a hierarchy of membership that includes member companies and individual members within those companies. Members can download reports, register for conferences and benefit from other member services; all of this activity needed to be recorded in a comprehensive member database. Non-members needed to be given access to some of these services, but on a paid or restricted basis.
Years of valuable legacy data needed to be preserved and imported into the new solution. Multiple roles needed to be created to allow FIPP staff, company administrators and individual members to have the appropriate access to the appropriate services. Detailed reporting also needed to be provided. With many thousands of records, an accurate and comprehensive enterprise-class search facility was also required, ensuring site users can quickly find the information they needed.
“Years of valuable legacy data needed to be preserved and imported into the new solution”
Association of Online Publishers - Organization
The Association of Online Publishers (AOP), the voice of the UK’s premium digital publishers, appointed SubHub to build a state-of-the-art membership management solution to enhance AOP’s ability to serve its members.
AOP represents some of the UK’s most advanced digital publishers. The back-end was in need of upgrading, with duplication of member data that was time-consuming to manage and didn’t provide an easy way to view how individual members engage with the organization. SubHub streamlined AOP’s operational processes so that it could have a better picture of the services its members most need.
AOP now benefits from a sophisticated member contact management database which provides the industry body with individual member views of activity across a wide range of services – from access to original research, attendance at conferences and events and participation in member discussion forums and industry committees that are championing a range of issues relevant to the future of digital publishing.
SubHub also built a process to carefully manage the migration of AOP’s legacy data onto the new platform — preserving years of valuable data and making it more flexible and accessible than it had previously been.
Public Relations Consultants Association - Organization
SubHub, the leading builder of digital association management solutions, has been appointed by the PRCA (Public Relations Consultants Association) to implement a state-of-the-art cloud-based membership management solution. The new solution will make the management of PRCA member information far more effective, and will provide crucial insights the PRCA can use to improve its services.
The way the PRCA stored and used the data captured through its various activities needed to be more efficient – staff wanted to spend less time and effort manually managing data. Under the SubHub solution, everything will now be integrated, enabling PRCA to track and view member activity comprehensively. SubHub’s membership management solution will give PRCA a cohesive, streamlined view of the way its members interact with the organization across its various services, and the insights this brings will help PRCA to manage and serve members better.
If a member registers for an event, or enters the PRCA Awards, for example, the data will be automatically shared. This provides the PRCA with individual member views of activity across a wide range of services – from access to reports, to attendance at conferences and events, and participation in discussion forums. These enhanced ‘back-end’ capabilities will enable PRCA staff to increase value for its members by identifying areas of interest for individuals and also across the membership spectrum. They will then be able to increase areas of service based on member demand, or suggest activities that individual members may not have taken full advantage of.
“SubHub’s MRM solution will give us a cohesive, streamlined view of the way our members interact with us across our services, and the insights this brings us will help us manage and serve them better.”
The Specialist Media Show - Publisher
The Specialist Media Show (SMS) focuses on the needs of specialist media businesses, providing them with opportunities to learn about new channels, share ideas and tips, and network with peers. SubHub worked with the Specialist Media Show to build a website to showcase useful content for niche publishers and promote their offline events for their community. SMS registered members can also use the site to view sessions from past shows, access the latest research and practical content, and buy conference packs directly.
Working with SubHub, the Specialist Media Show has greatly expanded its ability to serve its highly specialised member community.
“My SubHub site is very easy to update and is highly flexible as my business evolves. The membership section is great and the support system is very slick”
Drum Channel - Publisher
Drum Channel provide video drumming lessons online by subscription.
Using the SubHub platform, they developed a feature-rich solution at a fraction of the cost of using a web development firm. Because SubHub already specialises in subscription and membership, Drum Channel didn’t need to pay us to learn on the job.
Drum Channel began with the standard SubHub solution, but added customization including their own unique design and the ability to offer redemption codes so that Drum Channel memberships could be sold or given away at music stores and other retail outlets. This enabled Drum Channel to expand their business by taking advantage of some strong partnership opportunities.
“SubHub runs my website so I can run my business. SubHub is a great company to partner with”
