SubHub's Vision and Mission
SubHub believe that the publishing of specialist information websites for profit will become one of the largest online business sectors, alongside advertising and ecommerce.
Over time, it will displace a lot of traditional print publishing businesses, starting with newsletters and specialist trade magazines and moving on to the larger consumer and trade publications.
We believe it is not a question of 'if', just a question of 'when'.
We also fundamentally believe that subscription website publishing will create a completely new publishing sector driven by individual experts and small companies set up to sell their knowledge to very niche markets. The opportunity for the individual or small publisher is greater today than it has ever been in the history of publishing. Low-cost distribution of niche information to a small but global audience, can now make many subjects commercially viable that were never viable before.
SubHub's vision is to enable this transition to the web, both for individual experts and established publishers alike. We want to be at the forefront of this inevitable evolution from print to digital media.
Our mission is to simplify the process of publishing money-making content websites to the point that anyone in the world with expertise and determination can build a successful online business.
We believe that a publisher should be able to focus on content and customers, and have someone else deal with the technology, software and daily maintenance. SubHub will be that 'someone else' for thousands of internet publishing businesses.
We will continually strive for improved ease of use, whilst never stopping the innovation that has led the solution to be a market leader.
Every year, new applications become available - blogs, RSS, podcasts, video streaming - to name but a few. SubHub will analyse what is valuable and make them available to our publishers so they will always be at the forefront of the publishing market.
