Client Spotlight: Holly Brown

Holly Brown, Owner of Hollybrownfit.com shares her SubHub story. Holly Brown

Can you tell us a little bit about your background and what led to you to setting up your site?

I'm a Vegan Personal Trainer, looking to set up a members only site.

Why did you decide to use SubHub and how long did it take for your website to be online?

SubHub had the features I was looking for and a price I could afford. I had hundreds of articles to transfer to the new platform, so it took me several months to get set up.

How involved were you in developing the website, and did you have any experience in creating a website before?

I had set up very basic websites in the past, but SubHub helped me develop a clean, easily navigated site that explained my purpose to potential customers right off the bat!

How hands on are you with updating your site? Do you create everything yourself, do you have any staff, or do you outsource?

I run the site solo.

How much time do you spend updating your website?

Updates occur weekly.

How do you interact with members and what’s the key to keeping them happy?

I interact with members via email and social media. The key is keeping my business client focused and teaching, not telling.

How has SubHub enabled you to grow?

SubHub has allowed me to do what I do best, teach, without worrying about membership sign up's and payments.

What kind of content is most popular on your website and why do you think that is?

Weight loss...it's a problem everyone has :)

How have you grown your email subscribers and how do you manage them?

Yes, I manage email subscribers via MailChimp

Now that you've created a website, how do you make money from it?

Recurring membership and one-time payment coaching.

What has been the most effective way to drive traffic to your website?

Social media

From your experience, what are the basic steps somebody needs to take to setup and develop a successful website?

Consider what would enrich your clients life, get them to the information they need in 1 to 2 clicks, keep website clean and clutter free.

What advice would you give to somebody thinking of starting their own website with SubHub?

Go for it!

What can people expect from your site or company the next 6 or 12 months? (any new features, services, etc.)

Loads of new programs in the works!
