Glimpse the future of specialist media – and it’s not just about the iPad
UK VISITORS to the Specialist Media Show at Exec Peterborough on May 25 will see the future of media – and it’s not just about the iPad.
Apple’s revolutionary tablet will feature at the show, with presentations from app developers and content showcases, but the event will also address some of the more fundamental issues facing specialist media.
Results from one of the biggest specialist media survey ever undertaken will be revealed and debated at The Specialist Media Show. Findings are expected to provide valuable insight into: the future of consumer magazines; B2B magazine circulation trends; paid-for B2B events; mobile devices; online B2B consumption and consumer attitudes to paid content.
Paul Sloggett, director of CopperKite Marketing and fellow director of The Specialist Media Show, said, “This reminds me of when magazine cover-mounts were invented; or when we got box-level analysis on copy sales and when email became the preferred direct marketing method. It’s one of those defining moments and it’s all up for grabs in the new media world.”
The full results of the 2010 Future of Specialist Media survey and a debate about its findings are being presented at The Specialist Media Show 2010. The show takes place at Exec Peterborough on May 25.
Speakers at the show include Mark Elliot, MD of Time Out, Miles Galliford, co-founder of SubHub.com and Peter Houston, Editorial Director for Advanstar. And exhibitors and partners including Brad Insight, Pixel Mags and Warners will share practical advice and influential thinking with visitors.
Barry McIlheney, chief executive of the PPA, said, “It’s the first time specialist media owners have got together in quite this way and I expect The Specialist Media Show conference, workshops and exhibition to have a major influence on thinking for the future.
